Application
- Periodically, as the work professes, evaluate it from a distance to ensure the desired effect is being produced across the entire surface.
- If installing in a wet environment, the ArmourTone High Humidity Wet Areas specification must be followed.
- Apply sealer using a 3/8 nap or small foam roller.
- Load roller with product and roll off excess.
- Apply ArmourSeal to wall surface, overlapping 1-2 inches with each stroke. Back roll to avoid lap lines or drips.
- Best results are achieved by keeping a wet edge, working from corner to corner.
Drying Time
Avoid rain, heavy traffic and cleaning for 48 hours after application. Allow material to dry 3-4 hours under normal condition. High Humidity and low temperatures extend drying time.
Substrate Preparation
Surface must be clean, dry and free of bond-inhibiting materials such as dust, dirt, rust, grease, oil, mildew, fungus, form-release agents or any other contaminants.
Coverage
Approximately 700-900 square ft. per gallon (one coat). Coverage varies depending on surface conditions and thickness of application.
Mixing
Mix or shake ArmourSeal before use. Add up to 6 ounces clean, potable water per gallon may be added to adjust viscosity. Close container when not in use.
Limitations
- Use only on surfaces that are sound, clean, dry and free from any residue that might affect the ability of this product to bond to the surface.
- The use of a sealer is recommended in high-moisture or high traffic areas.
- Ambient and surface temperatures must be 40°F (4°C) or higher during application and drying time. Provide supplemental heat and protection from moisture as needed.
